All three members of the 2019-20 Kingston Jr. Ice Wolves who participated in national under-18 selection camps last week have been chosen to take part in the three-game series between Canada and the U.S. from Aug. 14-17 at Lake Placid, N.Y.

Ice Wolves forwards Tatum White of Kingston and Maddi Wheeler of Erinsville, who both turn 17 in October, will play for the Canadian U18 squad, while their new Ice Wolves teammate Kiara Zanon of Rochester, N.Y., a forward who turns 17 in a little over a week, will play for the U.S.

It will be White’s first game action with the national U18 squad, while Wheeler and Zanon both played on their respective U18 teams last year, clashing head to head at both the three-game series last August and at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship in January 2019.

Canada won the U18 three-game series last year, 2-1, and also took the U18 world championship, beating the U.S. 3-2 in the final on an overtime goal from Wheeler.
