Goaltender Christian Propp is the newest member of the Soo Greyhounds.

General manager Kyle Raftis completed the deal with the Eastern Conference’s North Bay Battalion in exchange of a conditional 15th Round Pick (Soo’s) in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection.

This upcoming season will be Propp’s fourth in the Ontario Hockey League.

He appeared in 51 games for the Battalion during the 2018-2019 campaign, compiling a 24-24-2-0 record with a GAA of 3.98 and save percentage of .893.

The 20-year old from Milton, Ont., has a career record of 50-55-6-3 with 120 regular season games played and four shutouts.

He started his career in Barrie after being selected by the Colts in the fifth round in 2015.

“We wanted to acquire a veteran goaltender that will add depth to the team, said Raftis in a release.

He added that Propp is a starting goalie in the OHL and is ready to take another step in his development with the Greyhounds.

“We are looking forward to having him in the Soo,” said Raftis.
