It took the Bonnyville Pontiacs eight seconds to escape Spruce Grove with another win.

The Spruce Grove Saints took on the Pontiacs in Alberta Junior Hockey Leaue action at the Grant Fuhr Arena on Friday, looking to avenge an 8-1 loss just two weeks prior.

Forward Bobby Young ended their bid for revenge eight seconds into the overtime period, beating Saints goaltender Matthew Davis in tight.

Cam Mitchell tied the game 1-1 to send it to overtime, with assists going to Ryan Peckford and Nick Leyer, after Joel Ray opened the scoring for Bonnyville.

Davis stopped 17 of 19 shots in the loss, while Pontiacs goaltender Colby Muise made 24 saves on 25 shots.

The loss moves the Saints to 31-16-3 on the year. Up next they take on the Whitecourt Wolverines, at home on Sunday. Puck drop is 2 p.m.
