Glanmore National Historic Site’s upper level is getting a fresher look this week.

Painters Kirk Tischbein and Todd Hoselton are repainting and looking for trouble spots while using a 65-foot articulated boom lift. They’re also installing several pieces of wooden ornamentation made by Glanmore’s museum technician, David Cox. The pieces embellish the third-floor dormer windows.

“Restoration carpentry is one of the more fun parts of my job,” said Cox. “I am pleased to know that my contribution to the house will last for many years to come.” He used templates made by his predecessor, the late Mac Ellis.
