A woman in Fort Saskatchewan is likely shaken up after a run-in with a man who allegedly exposed himself to her on a walking trail in the community.

RCMP said it happened at around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday on the Fort Saskatchewan River Valley trail.

“A man approached her and exposed himself,” explained Cst. Alex Burgess. “He didn’t say anything to the woman and just fondled his genitals.”

Burgess said the man then kept walking southbound while the victim kept walking northbound and notified the authorities.

“He was not known to us or the victim and his identity is unknown at this time,” explained Burgess.

She said that officers patrolled the area but could not find the suspect and have now released a sketch hoping to drum up some tips from the public.

“The investigation is ongoing and members are seeking out video surveillance or any tips from the public on the identity of the man,” she added.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 25-years-old, around 5’9” tall with a slim build, has black hair and was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans.

RCMP asks that anyone with information on the man contact them at 780-997-7900 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). You can also report tips online at p3tips.com.
