For the second year in a row, P&M’s Kouzzina is promoting Purple Month in support of epilepsy.
“Our goal is to bring awareness to this chronic neurological disorder for people living with epilepsy in our community,” said restaurant co-owner Leslie Moutsatsos in a release.
“We have reached out to many in our community to help spread awareness and are making small strides.”
A local Sudbury chapter of Epilepsy Ontario is now in place, she noted, and ceremonies to mark Purple Day will take place next Tuesday.
“Should you take a look at our Facebook page, you will see the many posts from other communities that are lighting up purple on March 26,” said Moutsatsos.
While Sudbury’s buildings might not shine with purple lights this year, the restaurateur said the goal is “one day join the many communities that shine purple on March 26.”
“We do have a proclamation with the mayor’s office on the 26th and will be raising a flag to start the purple wave.”
