A Dundalk man has died after a multi-vehicle collision just south of Arthur on Friday.
At about 1:45 p.m. Wellington County OPP responded to the collision on Highway 6 for a report that a number of vehicles had collided during whiteout conditions.
The OPP, Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service responded, it said in a news release from Wellington County OPP.
Robert William Crosby, 66, of Dundalk was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were taken to hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, the news release said.
The OPP, along with West Region Technical Collision Investigators are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or were in the area to contact the Wellington County OPP.
While police have located one van they were looking for and confirmed it was not involved in the collision, OPP investigators are continuing to look for the driver of a white cube can with possible front-end damage that was involved in the collision, police said in a follow-up news release issued on Sunday.
