For the first time, the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) is hosting an Out-of-Field Challenge – an opportunity for non-competitive plowers to join in the fun and show off their skills.

It’s not exactly non-competitive – there will be prizes – but it’s not formally part of the Match. This is your chance to see how you stack up against other local plowers.

The Challenge will take place on Saturday, September 21 at 9 a.m. There is NO ENTRY FEE.

Plowers must have their own equipment – tractor/horse and plow – and proof of $2 million insurance. The usual IPM plowing competition rules apply. No opening split required.

The Challenge will be overseen by a Steward and OPA Judge.

To take part, download and complete the registration form and email it to marshals@quatro.net. A completed waiver form and insurance certificate are also required upon registration.

The registration deadline is September 12. Limited spaces available.

Come experience West Nipissing’s “Joie de Vivre” or Joy for Life during the IPM, being held September 17-21 in Verner, Municipality of West Nipissing. For more information about IPM 2019, visit https://www.plowingmatch.org/ipm2019/.
