The Hanna Hawks Football team took a trip to Lacombe on Oct. 25, to face off against Rimbey. The Hawks, which are now ranked second in the six-man league, dominated the game and sent the Rimbey Spartans packing. The win secured the Hawks a home game for the semi-finals, which kick off on Nov. 2 here in Hanna. Girls Volleyball The Hanna Hawks Sr. Girls Volleyball team headed to New Norway to take part in a Volleyball tournament. The girls placed fourth overall, but stunned the competition when it came to the Halloween portion of the competition, taking home first place in the costume contest and a most sportsmanlike award. The Delia Bulldogs Sr. Girls Volleyball team headed to Wheatland Crossing for a tournament, bringing home bronze medals for their efforts. The previous weekend the team headed to Consort where they brought home gold. Boys Volleyball The Hanna Hawks Sr. Boys Volleyball team headed to a tournament in Consort on Oct. 26 and came home on Oct. 27 a medal heavier having taken third at the event. jirwin@postmedia.com
